How your surveys are kept apart
A survey is commercially sensitive. It says how much material you have, what you have moved, and what a site is worth. Here is how we look after it.
Each organisation is kept separate
Every site, flight and file in Clarity belongs to one organisation, and access is checked by the system itself, not only by the screens you see. People in one organisation cannot see another organisation's data.
We have tested this by signing in as members of different organisations and confirming that each one could only see its own data.
Your files
Imagery and photos are stored privately for your organisation and are only shown to people who are allowed to see them.
Share links give read-only access to a single flight, and you can turn a link off at any time. Links to files that Clarity sends you, for example in an email, expire after a set time.
Your photos during processing
Your photos are processed on secure machines and removed from them once processing is finished.
The original uploads are kept for a short time afterwards, so a flight can be run again without uploading it twice, and are then removed. Your finished survey stays for as long as you keep it.
Accounts and roles
People join your organisation by invitation only, and every email address is confirmed before it can be used.
Roles control who can view, edit and delete, and access can be limited to specific sites. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never stored in plain text.
Access by our team
We do not look at your surveys as a matter of routine. If you would like us to look at one to help with a problem, we will ask you to confirm first.
Deleting data
Only administrators and owners can delete a site, and Clarity asks you to confirm by typing the site's name, because deleting cannot be undone. Deleting a site removes its flights, measurements, designs and share links.
If you need anything else removed, contact us and we will take care of it.
Found something?
If you believe you have found a security problem in Clarity, write to service@malya.io with enough detail for us to look into it. We will get back to you promptly, and we appreciate reports made in good faith.
